In Ohio, spring break seldom felt like spring. Colleges usually schedule them smack in the middle of the semester, sometime in early March. Often times there would be snowstorms yet to come after spring break. But I've enjoyed a spring break that felt like spring this week. I got to take my daughter to the children's park in downtown Greenville early in the week. Then it rained a lot late in the week. I noticed my bulbs are starting to come up, so they must have liked the rain. We used to say "April showers bring May flowers", but maybe the saying should be rolled a month back here!

the rains have really helped spring pop on up! Hoping for no more cold weather!
I think you're right, the saying should be rolled back a month for this year! The weather has been pretty crazy this year, across the states. But spring appears to be arriving at last. Thanks for sharing, I love your blog. If you have time, would you mind visiting this blog as well? http://www.citrusfruittrees.net/ Thanks again!
we just sold our house in Taylors (closing is friday), and all of the spring bulbs were open when we moved out last weekend. it was so depressing to leave! the bulbs are my favorite part of spring. well, that and planting veggies.
nice blog
Hi Jessica,
Some years in IL strep throat seemed to run through the classrooms right before spring break - glad yours was more fun!

Love the photo! I'm in about the same place here in my Southern garden, zone 8b. What zone are you in?
thats a nice shot, lovely to be reminded spring is on its way even. in England bulbs are nicely in flower too
I'm in 7b. It seems in Charleston you all are a little ahead usually in the spring.
