Our baby surprised us all by coming almost 3 weeks early, but he is healthy and we are both doing well. I think my little sprout will like having a spring birthday. I celebrated many May birthdays in the Midwest, which is probably equavalent to a late March birthday here in the Carolinas. My grandfather planted a flowering tree in our front yard on the day I was born, and it flowered each year around my birthday. I came home from the hospital last week to find this tree in bloom in our front yard. So someday, like my grandfather told me, I can tell him it blooms especially for his birthday.
